Outreach

*  Stephen Ministry - The quiet Ministry has arrived.

* Mission Board formed!  A full Mission Board is now in place to coordinate the multiple mission and outreach activities of the church.  Please contact the church office if you are interested in getting involved in local or distant mission opportunities.

* Grace now has an active adult mission team! The team has sent members to Baldwin, Louisiana (to work in the UMCOR depot, preparing supplies to be sent for relief efforts), Oklahoma (for outreach efforts at an Indian reservation), and Africa (for the Living Waters program). In addition, the team builds wheelchair access ramps for families in the area. More mission opportunities to come!! If you would like to get involved, please call the church.

* Grace Church hosts the county-wide free Legal Clinic on the first Thursday of each month.  The Grayson County Bar Association and the Legal Services of North Texas provide volunteer lawyers and paralegals, while Grace members provide a meal and nursery service for the clients.

* Grace supports many local ministries, such as Key Care (contributing food and clothing for people in need), Sherman Assistance Ministries, Habitat for Humanity, Writeway Prison Ministry Bible courses, the Crisis Center, Meals on Wheels, Alternative Christmas, Adopt-a-School, UR Special Cake Ministry, and our Grace prayer chain.

* Grace reaches beyond the local community in many ways.  Through the connectional relationship with the United Methodist Church, Grace supports universities around the world, relief efforts every time there is a crisis anywhere in the world, and mission activities throughout the world.  In addition, Grace has personally sent mission teams to Mexico for house construction and medical mission work.  Mission teams from Grace have also been sent for emergency flood help in other parts of the country.  Grace maintains a trailer specifically designed to support our mission work.
